Commemorative Coin - 25 Koruna 1969 - 25th Anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising The Slovak National Uprising (SNP) was a major military and political event during the Second World War, which took place from 29 August to 2 October 1944 on the territory of Slovakia. It was an uprising of the Slovak resistance against the fascist Slovak state, which was an ally of Nazi Germany. The uprising broke out in response to the growing German influence in Slovakia, as the government under President Jozef Tiso became more and more subordinate to Nazi Germany. The revolt was initiated by Slovak partisans, communists, democratic politicians and military leaders who decided to oppose collaboration with the Nazis and create a free Slovakia. The coin was minted by the Kremnica Mint in 1969

Vše v naprostém pořádku
